Ensuring Your Oral Health and Comfort

Our dental hygienists, Geralyn Caughey, RDH, M.S, Dawn Giraldi, RDH, B.S., Lorraine Bugarin, RDH, and Jami Loomis, RDH all have advanced training in the best practices of routine preventive dental hygiene, the treatment and prevention of periodontal disease including scaling and root planing, and pediatric hygiene and preventive care. They have also developed and implemented an outstanding pediatric dental program, Ages and Stages, for our youngest patients. Utilizing a kind, gentle, but thorough approach, Geri, Dawn, Lorraine and Jami work collaboratively with patients of all ages to achieve optimal oral health.

Comprehensive Dental Hygiene Services

Geri, Dawn, Lorraine and Jami have advanced training in the best practices necessary to address the oral health needs of a diverse group of patients of all ages. In our practice you can expect that they will:

Provide routine preventive dental hygiene care including removing calculus and plaque
Take digital dental radiographs including bite wings, panoramic, and catscan X-rays
Assess overall oral health including oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, and dental charting
Apply cavity preventing materials to the teeth including fluorides and sealants
Provide patient education in the proper method to maintain appropriate oral hygiene including tooth brushing, flossing, and healthy nutrition
Conduct dental charting, scaling and root planing in the treatment and prevention of periodontal disease
Implement the established Ages and Stages pediatric dental program for our youngest patients assisting them in developing a lifetime of healthy habits
Assist Dr. Ferguson in the identification, treatment planning, and restoration of dental concerns
