Dental Assistants

Liz Gallego, Jamie DeVita and Lakena Anthony are our talented dental assistants.

Lakena joined the team at Ferguson Dental Associates in 1997. She graduated from the Berdan Institute for Health Professionals in 1996 and earned her Certificate for Registered Dental Assisting in 1998. She went on to complete her Registered Nursing degree at Passaic County Community College. Known for being a strong patient advocate with advanced clinical skills, Lakena provides calm and reassuring support to patients throughout their dental procedures.

Jamie joined the team at Ferguson Dental Associates in 1999 after earning her Certificate for Dental Assisting from the Berdan Institute for Health Professionals. She has since completed a phlebotomy course and received advanced training in blood draws, skills she puts to use assisting Dr. Ferguson in preparing PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) for advanced patient procedures such as bone grafts, implant placement, and gum surgery. Jamie especially enjoys assisting with the placement of dental implants and oral surgery.

Liz brings over 10 years of experience as a dental assistant, joining Ferguson Dental Associates in 2026. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she is able to provide clear, comfortable communication for a wider range of patients. Liz is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with every visit.
